Early School Achievement Test (ESAT)

Overview

The ESAT (Early School Achievement Test) is for older children and measures word reading and picture vocabulary as well as addition and multiplication skills. It gives a good idea of what a child can do in those areas, whether he or she is on grade level, or ahead or behind. The ESAT is a test in development and at some point it may be expanded. It, too, is based on NC school norms.
